Ok. Here is the situation. MY boyfriend is in a lot of pain. He has a tooth that has started to turn black and right about the tooth there are like 2 HUGE holes in the gum. He said he is in so much pain he cant take it and its like shooting up to his “brain” Im afraid an infection might go up and kill him?? I really dont know. He has no insurance and we dont have a lot of money. We could pay a dentist over time by billing us just not too much upfront. Does anyone have any recommendations for us? I am really scared. We live in Queens, NY.

I broke a tooth when I was a kid and the dentist finally took it out after so many years. He recommend I get a tooth implant. Does anyone know if the dentist has to put me to sleep during surgery? I read up on it and it says there’s 3 stages on its procedures but it doesn’t say if I have to be conscious or put to sleep during the surgery?

I had an upper front tooth implant this day (#6). I am in so much pain. I feel extremely sore and bruised. I just took advil and lortab, and I am waiting for it to work. Is this normal. How long does it take to improve?
It was done by a surgeon. The tooth was extracted over 5 months ago. The pain has subsided mostly, but I am on pain meds. I feel just soreness and a sort of burning feeling, maybe from the novacaine wearing off.
