Has anyone had dental implants done in Mexico, close to Tijuana?
I am interested in having dental implants. They are not covered by insurance and are very costly. I have heard of an american dentist that does the total implant procedure in one visit right over the border in S. California. Has anyone had implants done in Mexico and if so, did you experience any problems. Would you do it again or would you pay the higher cost and have it done in America.

When i went to get fitted,the physician removed the screw and it smelled bad.He said it was normal.

I know you a physician (dentist), but I have heard of dnetal schools , and research studies that have reduced the cost, and in some cases it was done at no charge. So you answer really is not truthful.

I’m wondering what kinds of fee’s are involved & exactly what the savings is if a person were to choose to go to a dental school to have the work done, VS just going to a dentist who has his own practice. Can anyone give me a breakdown of the fee’s (all of them for every procedure or a fee schedule copy) so I can get an idea? (in Southern Cali. would be great)

I’m 35 and have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and i really would like to have dental implants done. I have spoke with the periodontist/oral surgeon who seems very competent and has researched as many ways as possible and he said he thinks I would do fine. Anyone had any problems

I need to get an implant to take the place of my lower left 12 year old molar that never came in. I am wondering a few things:
1. What is the likelihood of insurance covering it (I have Blue Cross)
2. Is it painful
