I’m a 21 years old student and i’m currently looking for some type of dental insurance. I notice that while search i’m stumbling a lot on Dental Discount Plan. So i’m wondering what’s the difference?

How long do you have to wait before you can get implants after a tooth extraction?
I have a baby tooth which is infected and it needs to be extracted. I want to get implants after that. but the thing is the implants are not covered by my insurance as they will replace a baby tooth. So i will have to get the implants in India. I am going to India in Jan-Feb time frame. So can i get the tooth extracted in India itself and get the implants there right away. I will be in India for 2 months. So do you think i should get the tooth extracted here as it will need more than 2 month to heal and go get the implants later in India? FYI I am 28 and i wont be growing/dont have a permanent tooth to replace the baby tooth

What can cause a Bleeding Gastric Ulcer if it is not bacteria or NSAIDS?
My dad recently underwent emergency endoscopic cauterization of a penny size ulcer, that had eaten into his artery. He had 3 other ulcers that were not bleeding. He tested negative for the bacteria that causes ulcers and he does not take NSAIDs often. No one can tell us why he might have such aggressive ulcers. He did go to the dentist office the day before for a tooth ache, and mentioned that the shot they had given him felt like it sank down into his stomach. He also takes about 20 health supplements and vitamins a day. Can either of those have caused this?

I have an abscessed tooth and have been referred to a specialist. I do not have insurance, but need it taken care of soon. Are there any dental insurance or discount-programs that will grant a root canal (with an endo-specialist) to be covered immediately after signing up? I’d be ok with paying the year in advance even, instead of month to month.

I just had my bottom teeth bleach or whitened, not sure what you call it. Its where you have to sit for an hour with this blue light pointed toward your teeth.
My teeth/gums feel sore like having a tooth ache now. It comes and goes, it almost feels like cavities when cold water gets in and hits the nerves.
Is this normal after this procedure?

All of the dentist offices around me are closed, so I can’t contact them today. I have an emergency w/ fallen filling and loose tooth, so if I contact them on Monday for an emergency appt, usually when would I be able to get an appointment (I’m not a regular patient)? Thanks.

How common is it to have chronic pain after dental implants?
I am suffering chronic pain two years after my second dental implant and have to take Neurontin (Gabapentin) 3 times per day to suppress it. My dentist and a neurologist say that this is probably caused by nerve damage. How common is this? What percentage of implants result in this kind of problem?
