Question by charly:
I just read that tooth “implants” are often rejected by the body. Latest figures,(past 5 years)on this please?
I also would like input from those having 1st hand experience, good and bad–as I am considering the procedure because of the current loss of 3 teeth, side by side; (upper, “medium front”).
Also, I have had dental work in Mexico with excellent results, and am willing to do it again; any “war stories” re: Mexico??
I’m retired and cannot afford US prices.
Thaks for all the answers thus far–they’re helpful…

Q&A: HAS ANYONE HAD DENTAL IMPLANTS DONE IN MEXICO, CLOSE TO TIJUANA?
Question by jersey:
Has anyone had dental implants done in Mexico, close to Tijuana?
I am interested in having dental implants. They are not covered by insurance and are very costly. I have heard of an american dentist that does the total implant procedure in one visit right over the border in S. California. Has anyone had implants done in Mexico and if so, did you experience any problems. Would you do it again or would you pay the higher cost and have it done in America.
CAN CROWN LENGTHENING RUIN THE SITE FOR A FUTURE DENTAL IMPLANT?
Question by Citygirl:
Can crown lengthening ruin the site for a future dental implant?
I need to have 2 crown lengthening procedures done on 2 molars. They have to remove some bone tissue to expose more tooth structure to keep the crowns glued on. Is this bone removal during a crown lengthening procedure minimal? Or would this slight bone removal possibly destroy the site for a future implant if the crowns fail? If too much bone was lost to support an implant is there a way to add back bone to support the implant?
